High-Pressure Cleaning for Hard External Surfaces

External hard surfaces accumulate grime slowly enough that nobody notices — until a cleaned strip sits next to an uncleaned one.

High-Pressure Cleaning

Matched to the Surface, Not Just Turned Up

High-pressure cleaning is the only practical way to shift oil, tyre marking, algae and general grime from large areas of concrete, asphalt and paving.

The judgement is in the pressure, not the machine. Too little achieves nothing across a large area; too much etches concrete, strips pointing from paving and damages render and sealant. Surfaces also differ — a sealed concrete apron and an older paved walkway will not tolerate the same setting.

So we match pressure, nozzle and technique to the surface, and test an inconspicuous area first where the substrate is uncertain. On sites with vehicle movements or public access, staging and scheduling matter as much as the cleaning itself.

The right pressure for the surface — not the highest the machine offers.

Areas we pressure clean

  • Car parks and hardstandsBays, aisles and turning areas where oil and tyre marking concentrate.
  • Loading docks and apronsHigh-wear service areas that take the heaviest vehicle and equipment traffic.
  • Footpaths and walkwaysPedestrian routes where algae and moss create a genuine slip risk.
  • Building exteriorsRender, brick and cladding at accessible heights, using pressure suited to the finish.
  • Bin and waste enclosuresEnclosures and surrounding pads where spillage and odour accumulate.
  • Driveways and entry apronsVehicle entry points that form the first impression of the site.
  • Outdoor furniture and sheltersSeating, tables, smoking shelters and covered waiting areas.
  • Stairs and rampsExternal access routes where surface grip matters most.

Benefits

Where high-pressure cleaning earns its place

Covers area efficiently

The only realistic method for large external surfaces where manual cleaning is not viable.

Addresses slip risk

Algae and moss on shaded paths and ramps are a genuine hazard, not just an appearance issue.

Scheduled around access

Planned around vehicle movements and public access so the site keeps operating.

How It Works

How a pressure clean is run

01

Identify the substrate

Concrete, asphalt, paving and render all behave differently. We confirm what we're cleaning first.

02

Test an inconspicuous area

Where the surface or its condition is uncertain, we test before committing to the full area.

03

Stage the area

Sections are cordoned and sequenced so vehicle and pedestrian movement continues safely around the work.

04

Clean and manage runoff

The surface is worked systematically, with attention to where wash water is directed.
